Troy Lindstom

I have always been an artist, even when I did not recognize myself as one. Living with a disability for the last 20 years, creating art has been my outlet. Now I am turning that page on my old life to create a new one.

As someone who is living with a disability, finding a job that suited my strengths was difficult. I have always loved to draw and create and when I saw the program posted on the wall at CNC, I knew it was exactly what I needed to create a future for myself.

As a student in the WEGD program, learning from industry professionals is exactly what I wanted. I have strengthened my skills and have added to my knowledge by taking this program. Working with the talented artists, that are my fellow students, was a bonus.

My experience in the program has been a positive one. It has increased my confidence in my existing skills and I have acquired many new ones.

After the program, I want to find work in a supportive artistic environment. Somewhere where I would be working with other like minded artists.

Some of my favourite moments include hanging out with my fellow artists.
